Baptism

On Friday, January 29th, Lifetime Church celebrated as three young women made a public affirmation of their faith in Jesus Christ at our Encounter and Baptism. Our monthly Encounter is where we corporately worship God, cry out for the Holy Spirit to move in our lives and pour our hearts out unto our Heavenly Father. This past Friday, Lifetime Church took the Encounter to another level as Pastor George gave people the opportunity to be baptized and publicly declare the elevation of their faith in Jesus Christ. In Matthew, Chapter 29, the text concludes with Jesus speaking of the command to make disciples of all nations. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” The mission of Lifetime Church is to lead people into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ with baptism being that outward expression of an inward change. As the ladies shared their testimony, we heard God’s divine work in their spiritual lives as each had battled with life’s pains, with one lady who transitioned from a different religious background. What was common in all of their stories was that God’s Holy Spirit created a change in them that allowed them to take their faith walk with Him to the next level. As Lifetime Church celebrated this major step in their faith we sang out the words, “It’s a New Season” believing in faith that God will make all things new in our lives through His power and by His love for us as His children. We pray that you also will encounter God in a new way in this season. God bless!
