This sunday was Amazing!!! We worshipped, dedicated baby Victoria, and received a great word from our Pastor.
This week Pastor George started a new series entitled “In the Meantime.”
As people walk out their lives in the Lord, seasons arise where it seems like you are living in the waiting rather than in the possessing. Pastor George describes the meantime as the place between the promise and the promised land. “It’s the time when promises don’t’ look like promises anymore.” – Pastor George Searight II
As believers, we need to remain in communion with God even when our emotions and life challenges tell us otherwise.
Pastor George reminded us that when we are in the meantime, don’t seek to help God out, instead ask God to help you out. We are to seek counsel from your brothers and sisters in Christ and don’t wallow in isolation. Change your prayer life from, “God here are my plans, please make them a reality,” into “God, what is it that you want me to do?”
And just like in Genesis 17:1-2, God wants to remind us that… “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”
